Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Prevention
Drawing on the latest SIDS research, we have developed an innovative sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) prevention solution for newborns. Baby Safe Sleep is a crib-mounted, targeted air-cooling system that circulates cool, clean, filtered air over and around a sleeping infant.
Unlike a “swamp cooler,” it is a true air-conditioning unit capable of lowering the air temperature by up to 18°F below ambient conditions. This allows it to consistently maintain the pediatrician-recommended sleep temperature of 68–72°F.
The U.S. Department of Energy Suggests setting your thermostat at 78°F, an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe temperature for infants. Cooling the entire home to infant-safe levels can strain HVAC systems and drive energy use up by 20–32%.
