McCulloch the Man

“McCulloch the Man” Documentary Exhibit Proposal

We are proposing a compelling and historically significant exhibit titled “McCulloch the Man”, centered on the remarkable life and legacy of Robert Paxton McCulloch, entrepreneur, innovator, and visionary. The exhibit will combine multimedia storytelling, authentic artifacts, and a professionally produced video documentary to present an overview of McCulloch’s personal journey and professional accomplishments. The exhibit production team will include Virgil Venditto, Jay Coombs and Michael Auria, who together have produced prior exhibits for the Lake Havasu Museum of History including the "Millers Folly" exhibit and the currently running featured exhibit "McCulloch in the Air".

Grand Opening Target Date:

Saturday, January 17, 2026

Running Approximately 12-18 months

  • Scheduled just days before the annual Balloon Festival (Jan 22–25, 2026), this launch date maximizes public exposure and attendance. We believe this would be a prime opportunity to encourage people to visit the museum.
  • If feasible, the original J-2 aircraft will be brought in for the Grand Opening event.

Timing & Historical Relevance

  • Time is of the essence. This effort is an opportunity to capture firsthand stories, insight, and memorabilia that are essential to preserving the history of this unique and special man. As time passes, we risk losing these stories forever.
