McCulloch In The Air

Millers Folly was the ultimate Havasu party boat for countless early families, friends, and associates of Simon (Sy) and Estelle Miller. It was built by Sy, his son Mike, close friend Jim Schulte and others using mostly donated materials, junk and spare parts. There were no working plans and took only 53 days to complete. The Folly was launched at Site 6, August 24, 1968.

McCulloch’s was mildly successful with the J-2 Gyroplane. While he never saw his vision of the J-2 being used as commonly as one might use a car, he did manufacture enough to be used in some commercial ventures. He was very successful in many ventures including creating Lake Havasu City, the purchase and reconstruction of the iconic London Bridge as well as the many businesses he started which provided the jobs that established Lake Havasu City into a thriving town.
